Happy sweet 16 Calire Quiggle!!!!!!!!!!!!
We woke up this morning at 6 a.m. to get our busy day started. The counselors were nice enough to let us sleep for about an hour before we stopped at our 24th Walmart of the trip. Lots of us chose to get coffee at McDonalds to help everyone stay awake and make the most of the sights. In celebration of Claire Quiggle’s birthday she was forced to wear a princess crown in Walmart.
Our Sleeper of the day goes to......Kaytlin Teal! She is a hungry sleeper and only had her hair to satisfy.
After a short intermission in the action, due to bus maintenance, we were back on the road and ready to drive. We had some delicious poptarts, bananas, and fruit pouches for breakfast. To keep everyone on the bus awake, the counselors Josh and Ty had everyone make a list of topics for them to talk about on their “talk show.” On the vans they jammed out to Zac Brown Band to stay awake.
The first part of the drive on Highway 1 was indescribable. We stopped at a rest stop with a beautiful view of the ocean. For lunch our cooks prepared for us bagels with peanut butter and apples.

After a nice drive we stopped and on the side of highway 1 to take in more of the amazing view. Many people chose to share their favorite experiences of TWB and what has made big impacts on them. Bryson Bingham even shared about how, “everyone has beautiful eyes.” It was a very touching moment for everyone on the trip and we all felt the love with lots of tears and hugs.
As we headed down the rest of Highway 1, the bus was jamming out to everything from Hannah Montana to Tim McGraw. No one even wanted to sleep once we saw the beautiful views of the ocean meeting the mountains with crashing waves.

We had such a an awesome time taking in highway 1 that we ended up driving straight through Monterey so that we could get to San Francisco sooner. We ate yummy turkey and ceasar wraps for dinner and then stopped at a rest stop to stretch our tired legs. We hopped back on the bus and continued our drive into the beautiful San Francisco.
Tonight we are staying at Lakeside Presbyterian Church in San Francisco. We are all taking advantage of the nice YMCA showers and then heading to bed to rest up for an exciting day in San Francisco tomorrow!
