Day 7

Sleeper of the day goes to.....Nat Warner, who is out like a fat kid in dodgeball

Remember how we were looking forward to sleeping in after our long, hot, and exhausting hike in the canyon.... well nature had other plans and they began at 5:00 a.m.  The sun was in full shine, the huge crows were squawking and the other participants were up rustling around and getting ready to go.  We had a wonderful pancake breakfast cooked for us with an option of turkey or maple sausage, washed down with some cool and juicy watermelon.  We had some time to kill before noon, so many of us ventured to the general stores and gift shops.

Landon Wright on syrup duty.....debating whether to dance to POUR SOME SUGAR ON MEEEE

Hannah McAferty hard at work copying down all of the quotes about the Grand Canyon

Grant "supervising" everyone else doing work while Mr G rests from a long day of actual work

Josh and Grant decided to play a quick 18 holes of rock golf while waiting on breakfast

We quickly discovered that Brad Olson is a pancake genius and has the magical touch for perfect pancakes.

Hunter woods trying out the rock golf

We met back at the campsite feeling lucky to be on our way to LAS VEGAS!!  On the way we saw some interesting things in the desert, including this wreck.  We were glad to see the driver, and glad that we were on the other side of the interstate and away from the MILES of traffic.

On our way to Vegas we separated into the vehicles by our groups.  We had to do this because we had another competition on the horizon....the VEGAS CHANT!!  The entire ride was dedicated to writing lyrics to our own song, or rewriting the lyrics to a popular song now.  Every group put in awesome effort and practiced practically the entire drive.  Once we rolled into the University of Nevada at Las Vegas, we entered the amphitheater to show off the chants we had worked so hard to prepare.

Sneezy's bringing out "Uncle Ernest" for the vegas chant
Sleepy's took it back to elementary school with a rendition of spongebob squarepants

Brison Bingham is becoming quite the comedian, and giving him a mic is pretty dangerous

He even had his Bashful team laughing
We paused for some quick research from a few of our sharply dressed friends.
Kaitlyn Teal shared with us the correct pronunciation of Nevada and told us it is the brightest city from space

Jess Dulin told us that the mascot for UNLV was a Rebel

Katey Taylor got us pumped for Las Vegas telling us that 15 of the 20 largest hotels are hosted here

Ready to throw down some $$$$$

WE READY TO TAKE ON VEGAS BABAY

In the end it was the Dopey group that came out victorious with their own rendition of Journey's Living on a prayer.

Once the fierce competition was settled, we loaded up and headed down the vegas strip.

We thought the Eiffel tower was in Paris.....

When in Rome....
